A new version of Warlock was released yesterday, and there looks to be some interesting changes. Here is the Changelog (from WarlockBrawl.com):

Changes
> Settings:
* Lava damage, gold rewards, knockback distance and many other constants can be changed by host on game startup.>Terrain:
* Ground can be a circle instead of a square.
* New terrains added.> Abilities:
* Shield is now an active skill
* Freeze (a D spell) has been moved to Y spell column
* Ranged mastery added.
* Changed effects from all masteries to affect all spells (with a few exceptions)
* More upgrades for almost every spell
* Spell requirements for spells at higher levels> Misc:
* Game has been rebalanced
* Game performance increased – more efficient methods used, all GUI finally removed
* Observer mode added (enabled by host at startup)
* Fixes on some major bugs and exploits
* New loading screen by Jack.
* Damage is displayed as floating text messages.
* Different warlock model for contributors. Following players have a special lich skin: Map creators, Pyro, Valgalla and Shamanno. Also note that skins will have exactly the same stats as the standard warlock.
