Dota Client is back November 15, 2008
Okay kids, turn off your maphacks and stop multi-accounting. Dota Client is finally back with the new version 2.0, after a Battle.net patch broke the old version four months ago. Now it’s required in DXD and GDG leagues. Here are some nice features:
- Host games with a latency value in the client 50-150ms. Default is 85, (listchecker uses 100).
- Can set a 0 delay countdown timer (saves 5 seconds of your life each game)
- Stats are recorded from every game and stored here: http://gamebend.com/dc/
- No one can use any type of hack in your game
- In league games multi-accounters get caught
Clan GDG has hosting bots November 10, 2008
Clan GDG on uswest now has bots to host their games. As soon as the game is confirmed, a bot magically hosts the game with listchecker-style latency reduction. This is pretty convenient if you can’t host games yourself but want the bot to make a game for a bunch of your friends to join. The delay is decent if you’re from Socal and there aren’t a lot of GDG games going on at the same time, or Hunter’s girlfriend isn’t off making rogue downloads. If you’re like me and want to swindle the host yourself, join the game and type .unhost to have the bot abort the game, so you can host it yourself.

For 15 mana you get a free last hit whenever you want. I’m pretty washed up and just noticed this several-month-old change to the hero, but basically they just made the best late game hero in Dota (4x crit + built in evasion) good early game too. Everyone already knew PA is auto-win if your team hasn’t lost by 30 mins, but now it gets charity early game cs. In summary, ima pick this easysauce hero like its Viper every game and crush harder than WtfPwnt sitting on a chair not made for obese people. GG.
